how to make 35's fit under a hilux?
ok im looking at fitting a set of 35's under my 85 hilux ive already got 2inch lift and 31mtz.
so my question is what do i have to do to make 35's fit under my hilux?
i already know ill need a cab lift of up to 3inch's (maybe 2inch) but if i go higher in the springs will i have to get longer tailshafts or can i add spacers to the diffs?

35's fit undr a hilux
you will need to do the following,
two inch spring lift, two inch bodylft extended shackles and move your front diff forward will allow you to fit 35's without rubbing.
that is what I had on my ln60 4runner. Worked a treat.
Anything less will need firewall mods and guard mods if you want the clearance without hitting or rubbing on panels.

Originally used a Snake Racing diff relocator but this was not enough. still had rubbing. Had my spring perches on the diff driled with a new hole as far back as we safely could.
This fixed the problem. No more rubbing.

Mad dog you have to move the front diff around 40 - 50 mm. you can do this by either doing RUF mod or just welding on some new spring perches.
Got this from a guy who has done it. "You can use rear springs in the front ,this will move diff about 40mm forward, but then it will upset your pinion angle, you'll need a longer front shaft ,shorter torque arm, shorter drag link. It will also upset all the steering geometery an you'll probably suffer a bit from bump steer I cured this by removing the ball on the J-arm an flipping it so it faced upwards an then setting up drag link to suit. If you weld on new perches you can set your pinion angle right at the same time ,but you will still upset the steering a bit because your changing the angle the draglink works on by shortening it
You may find that you cant get full lock anymore or you will have more lock one way".
You know if you were to buy a crossover steering kit from someone like snake racing, it would sort out all of the steering dilemmas and make the whole thing a lot easier. It would also give you better and easier steering - but thats more $$$$ but then you would need to set up power steering unless your car already has it set up, vacums and all.
As for the 35's you'll need atleast 6" of lift, go 2" body & 4"suspension (2" leafs & extended shackels)

We just fitted up some 35's to a mates 85 model 4runner this week and I was quite impressed how well they fit.
Mods he's done are:
- IFS power steering conversion.
- Snake racing cross over steering conversion.
- 2" snake racing extended shackles f&r
- 2" dropped front crossmember. (Radiator had to be lifted 20mm)
- Rear up front leaf springs. Standard spring & retainers opened up
- IFS rear leaf springs. Standard spring & retainers opened up.
- Extended front drive shaft.
- Front shock hoops welded in
The only part where it scrubs(and only just scrubs) is on the back of the rear guard under compression, but will be fixed with a little bit of manipulation with a hammer.
Only prob now is that he needs a biger engine than the old 2.4 diesel
