hey guys
looked at a 96 model vit tonight, looked pretty decent, a little oil around the engine (rocker cover gasket?), but that seems usual on these vitaras..
my main issue with it is:
it was a bit tricky to get into 1st gear sometimes..
it seems a bit 'sticky'.. but doesnt make any bad sounds or anything when going in..
also the clutch point was fairly close to the floor, and the clutch pedal was a bit loose.
is this a big deal?

found a 3door 1.6L efi vitara =) pm me for 4x4ing around perth
better to have the pick up point close to the floor than to high up.
long as the other gears aint notchy i wouldnt worry bout it.
in theory u shouldnt select first when rolling anyway, most boxes will be hard to select first gear unless stationary.
the oil leak will be the dizzy o ring! ( very common) along with rocker cover gasket.
