I always used Diesel Australia (slacks ck). Happy with their work. They usually do trucks, so no idea how much experience they have with TD42s.

I've got my patrol booked in at AMMS on Friday for a dyno tune, pump timing adjustment and boost increase so I'll let you know what I think of them after I get it back.

Just thought I'd follow up on this one. Was really impressed with the service and work from AMMS, would definitely recommend them. Talk you through everything in detail and always have time for you even though you know they're flat out which gets a tick in my book. Price seemed in line with other places I tried and results were good. Picked up 25.4% power increase and 25.07% torque increase and have a nice flat curve now. Drives much better, now to see if my (quite terrible) fuel economy decreases as well.

AMMS are at 92 Connaught St, Sandgate. Ph: 3269 6555. Mark Helmore did the work on my car for reference.

http://www.amms.net.au/index.htm

They do all general automotive work but also specialise in 4wd servicing and diesel dyno tuning. Got their own on-site dyno and do things very thoroughly. My GU with TD42T has a Safari front mount cooler and 3" dump pipe and exhaust but hadn't been tuned properly so they did a pre-run on the dyno to see where its at then adjusted the pump timing and added a bleed valve to adjust boost to 12.5psi (just wanted a conservative tune) and then did a series of dyno runs similulating a range of different load conditions to make sure my EGT's would never get high enough to be a problem as I don't have a pyro to monitor them. Ended up doing a total of 13 runs on my car and got it running very well. Note: I have absolutely no affiliation with these guys, it was the first time I'd been there and just had them recommended on forums.

And GUpatrol02, I'll keep you posted mate. I don't do a lot of k's so will prob be a few weeks before I get an accurate gauge.
