Buying Patrol/Mav

Post by suggy126 »

I just bought myself a 89 GQ 4.2 diesel about a month ago, i've put 3" suspension lift under it and am extremely happy with how it performs, i'm still only running the 31" tyres i bought it with but when i put it through full flex can drop the top of the low tyre completely clear of the body, it doesn't scrub at all, but that'll change with 33s, in which case a body of some form is called for to keep the tyres from scrubbin.

With regards the engine options, i chose the 4.2 over the 2.8 or 3 as it has a heap of torgue and when modified can throw out massive amounts of power (i've got mates who are up around the 250hp with the 4.2).
