dizzy problems hates water

every time i hit water a lil hard my engin has a hissy fit any 1 got any ideas to help it stop doing that what i mean by water is like 3 ft deep aint even that deep my mates do it and dosent effect their engins my car is 80 series cruiser 1990 3f motor so if u have any info plz help me

New leads, cap and plugs should help abit, i've got a carby 3F and i've dunked it a few times and driven through water coming over the bonnet with no issues, that was with points too.
