Quick question for a friend. He needs new front calipers for a GU, 2001 model. It is for an off-road vehicle so he doesn't want to pay main dealer prices. So do calipers from earlier models (GQ) or other models (Terrano, pickups etc) fit? Small mods to make fit not a problem.
Cheers
Mark

GU front calipers needed. Alternatives to new from Nissan?
Re: GU front calipers needed. Alternatives to new from Nissa
You would not want an odd caliper on there, as it would have different pressure etc to the others causing issues when you stand on the brakes.Welsh_farmer wrote:Quick question for a friend. I gather GU's are not big in Wales? As said wrecker would be your best option if not new.
for a laugh, what is a new one worth?
GU axles are simply NOT found in breakers yards over here (been searching for months). My mate has the axles (from heaven knows where!) to fit under a Toyota challenge truck but unfortunately the calipers were already removed. So a pair is needed in any case. No idea of Nissan prices but talking in region of £400 a pair at least......
