304 to rover conversion

Post by rusty_042 »

hey guys im just finishing getting all the bits an pieces for my conversion, and i was just wondering if anyone has been or knows how to modify a vn/vp commodore dash (the whole thing) to a 86 rover
im looking at putting a cage in at the same time with the new motor so the whole car is getting striped anyway so i thought its time to upgrade inside as well
if anyone knows how to or has pics that would be awsom i seen one ages ago but lost the pics when i formated an cant remeber how it all mounted up

I think I saw this in a Rangie ute a couple of years ago but that is all I can tell you - other than it looked pretty good!! Maybe the ute was red??

I also like your thinking here about using the entire loom. My Disco is closing on 400k and I have been thinking along the same lines of a VP-VR swap including the 700r4. Using the dash would solve a lot of things - I wonder if I could use the AC too??

Because its a crunt of an idea, I can assure you, the dash conversion, to get right(<<<<<operative word), WILL be harder than the engine conversion yourself ;)

So the dash has been done in this one already??, all vents/recirc/hot/cold etc work?

Its only easier than I think if your just swapping it over, cause the conversion is already done :D
