DVD

Post by Hobzee »

Latest word on DVD is that it is 6 days into a 10 day production run so we hope to have the DVDs out at the end of this week.

Sponsors are rolling in and we will finalise these after the DVD is released. If you are interested or have a lead then act now.

Looks like we have a communications sponsor and that includes a heap of sat phones for event management as well as free wireless internet at camp.

Every payment needs to be finalised by 31 March including competitors AND spectators. Late spectator entries will be accepted without catering but at same cost - so make your mind up fast and get the $ in so you get fed like a king.

Got some international interest from USA. Will send them some DVDs and that will get em... Any other leads would be appreciated.

Hang in there Hangers...

The DVD footage was good and some of the footage in the creeks was entertaining and well captured.. The production was poor ... I'm sorry but it had to be said ... The voice over was poor and the music was head banging crap eg... Slap my bitch ... what a load of crap my 5yr old loves the dvd's and i can't let him watch this one with the volume on because of the music ... It looked like a well run and executed event well done to the organisers and again good footage by the camera people ... Pat on the back... Production may be watch a few other 4x4 DVD's to get the hang of it...

Thanks Brad

Whatched both the discs last night and they rock, My wife and I were both waiting for this heavy metal death thrash stuff bosshog was implying but it never came.
Fast cars with loud V8's need fast music not gentle mood music. We loved it and our 3 year old did too :D

If you didnt know the cars or drivers a tad more commentary would have helped, but then I've got some dvd's with people just babling on and on in the background. It has a good mix of stages without being repetative, which is hard to achieve and something others should try to copy.

One problem is now I want to ditch the tb42 and whack in a V8, they sound sooooo sweeeet at full noise.

Really good work guys, definately worth buying ;) Cheers Hobzee. ;)

Its nice to know people appreciate all the effort put into a DVD, and it is the little positive comments such as yours that keep us going.

From the MudRhino production team, thank you :)

target

Post by Hobzee »

2009 will be the year of the Marshal. We are attracting the best marshals to the best event by giving them the best incentives.

The great news is that we have well and truly exceeded our target. We are still taking some more entries as last year cars pulled out at the last minute.

We are now campaigning for the stage sponsors. Started with last year's sponsors and making great progress. Lots are back. Next opportunity will go to Navrun sponsors, competitor vehicle sponsors or spectators - we will email all old and new navsters and cliffsters re this.

Keep the entries coming in and let us know if you want to marshal or if you have a sponsor in mind.

What Hobzee is saying is that firstly we have set a target of numbers we wanted for 2009. That we have just fulfilled recently.

However, we are taking a (few) more on board to allow any pull outs. This number is only a small number, so I will make that perfectly clear. So don't think we will be taking 100 rigs. We could, but it ain't gonna be.

As Hobzee said, this year we had a few too many teams pull out, even though they paid there deposits, we are just taking a few extra precautions, if you call it that.

We won't be releasing numbers or team lists at this stage. If we do, we will post it first on Outers and or competitors.

Gazza get your name down as a marshal!!!!!!

I have just put up on the website marshal details and incentives. Go to www.navrun.com.au for details

Marshals

Post by Hobzee »

We now have $27,000 of our $30,000 Cash prize money sought from our sponsors. Naturally Rudes and I shall cover a shortfall if needed - but we are putting it out there to you guys if you know anyone who wants fabulous DVD coverage and marketing as well as a CD with 100's of action pics for advertising material then get them to call me on 03 5975 5533 b/h.

The first Newsletter (it's a whoppa) will go out this week and all sponsors get a good plug. Now's the time to nominate as a sponsor and get the best coverage - no point being last minute and missing out on all the lead up advertising.

By the way entries are technically closed at 60 rigs. Your only chance to enter is to go onto a stand-by list and if people pull out we can slot you in. We envisage some will pull out and we will be racing with less than this 60 - but hey what an ace place to start.

dsl

Post by Hobzee »

If you still have the 2 tanks on your Diesel rig you wont need more fuel with the diesel. If you dont want to run fully loaded with way more dsl on board than you need then BYO Jerry cans.
