45 series Cruiser Ute Xtra Cabs?

Post by RUFF »

Anyone here got one or built one? Or even got any good pics? I know there are a couple running around in Vic and i beleive they are on 80 series chassies as well. But i cant find any info on them at all.

I would like to stretch mine a little but not sure on what others have done for the roof. The body isnt such an issue.

Ive seen a 40 series cab on a 45 series chassis and looked good but the tray on the back was only small, why not cut down a troopy like they do with 60 series wagons.

There is no way i would ever put a 40 on a 45 chassie they look like crap. And concidering i allready have the 45 its easier and much cheaper to extend it.

Im prob going to use the very back section of the upper cab from a 40 series so i get the opening quarter windows. After looking at the links buddy posted the roof doesnt look to be all that hard. I was expecting to have trouble because the roof starts narrow at the front but gets wider as it gets toward the back but it appears to be the same width from behind the front doors to the back of the cab.

Im just after more room to get a cage in there and get the seats back slightly more. Im expecting to do a few road Ks with this once i build it and want to be comfortable doing them.

Bidders 45 as far as I know is on a narrowed 80 chassi. I thought his was an extra cab but its not. It is currently in the forsale section minus drive train.
Same goes for Scotty`s 45 it is as far as I know on a narrowed 80 chassi.

I could be wrong about the 80 chassi but I`m certain its somethign like that. Guessing somebody will speak up about them if I`m wrong.

For pics of these 2 look through all vic comp threads, ateco, vic winch, alpine challenge etc etc.
