Hey all, my mate has a 3L hilux and wants to fit up a 2LT manifold and turbo, i believe the manifold will bolt up to the head? is this correct? and also to get oil feed and return to the turbo can we "T" into the oil line for the vacuum pump and use the same return or would it be better to weld in another return into the sump?? Has anyone used this setup before and will it work??
thanks alot.

All the info there brock. Gotta swap the bit over where the oil filter and shi bolts up like you said for the oil feed. Should be piss easy is we dont get to hammered whilst doing it all

i have this setup on my truck its a peice of cake to do, best thing to do for oil line is swap the heat transfer off the side of the 2lt motor (if you have one) as this has the pickup on it and as far as the oil drain goes, mine just tees into the alternator drain then into sump. also just a note a ifs sump is different than a solid axle sump. whether yours is ifs or not i dunno.also dont know whether you need to swap the pump (i never did) unless the other pump may have a boost compensator on it .just turn the fuel up and away you go. other than that, good luck with the fitment, makes a hell of a difference i can tell you that..
heres a good link for an install from 2lt-e to 3L

As long as it's from a 2LTE which comes with a bucket/shim setup in the head as against the older roller rocker design.
The bolt patterns are the same except one stud that needs to be unscrewed & repositioned (the thread is there in the 3L head)
You have to suppley oil feed & return lines as well as water feed & return to the turbo.
There are various ways to get both oil & water, I use a steel piece for the oil sender for the oil supply & have a t piece for the vaccuum pump oil return for the turbo oil retutn.
For water you just come off the heater hoses with T pieces.
