NF shorty

Post by davedave »

Im looking at buying an 1989 nf short wheel base pajero and Im not sure which diff it has. It says T 1 on the diff near the fill plug and has a J stamped below that. Is this an lsd?
Also the guy says its a 2.4 litre I didnt think they come out with a 2.4?
I also couldnt put it in 4x4. the stick was stuck no matter what I tried or how hard I pushed, have you herd of this problem before. The guy said it has never been used and by the looks of the truck it hasnt........
Any help in these matters would be appreciated............. Thanks Dave

Have a look at the mitsu bible on the main page for diff size.

Did you put it in neutral to change to 4x4?

Once you have, reverse 5m to engage.
