turbos and swaybars

Post by jacka »

Has anybody modified their turbos on the 3.0 diesel motor to gain more power. I have just put on 32" tyres and have noticed a significant loss and an increase in lag especially on takeoff.
Also, has anybody put the swaybar disconnects on the 2000 model td Jacka? Has it performed better?

Safari do a D-Tronic ECM for the Jack, don't know the power output though. Is it the front swaybar as I didn't think they had a rear one???

I imagine that the swaybar setup is the same if not similar to the earlier model Jackaroo such as mine. Improvement with a swaybar disconnect is subtle but worth it. See below post:

Safari cancelled the Dtronic for the TD Jackaroo. What did they find out that we don't know?

Quote from the above site: "Your Holden Jackaroo 3.1 Turbo Diesel uses a plug-in plug-out chip. Fitting is easy and the Powerchip can be installed in about 30 minutes with basic skills and equipment. To install the upgrade software, simply locate the computer and un-plug the standard chip. Place the Powerchip performance upgrade into the socket and fitting is complete.

In standard form, the Jackaroo 3.1 Turbo Diesel produces 118 kW and 333 Nm.

Powerchip has a range of chips to suit your car, which can increase it's power to 140 kW, and it's torque to 392 Nm.

The price of the Powerchip is AUD $889.90."

I am assuming that they mean the 3.0td as the 3.1 definately doesnt have those numbers in standard form... :?
