hey
i was wondering if i can find out what my diff gear ratio is without pulling it apart. as i need to get a rebuild kit thing for my rear diff. as it didnt like the power upgrade. im not sure if its stocko diff gears. the diff is clunking as i take off and go into 2nd also its got some wikid backlash. and its gettin worse pretty quick.
its a 92 wt sierra. with stock diffs afaik.

should be 3.7's. any lockers insatlled?

hold the flange or uni joint and move up n down side to side if the flange moves at all it need to rebuild it

ok thanks. i turned everything the other day to c if that would show anything, and it had a bit of slop in it and a clunk wen it bit. and the slotted bit in the actual drive shaft im guessin to allow it to strech and shrink in length is fair worn looking and it also has a fair bit of slop in it to.

if stock its 3.7 because my 91 was 3.7 and i changed it to the older nt type which is 3.9 and i counted the teeth on both
