Q1 yes the solenoid will fit into the warn box,and is simple to wire in
Q2 Your remote can only be used with the reciever you get,,if you lose the remote you then need to by another with a new reciever.

Excellent, thanks for this. Your control box arrived today with remote etc when it dawned on me that the remotes may work every related winch around, though thats good news that it wont. I've got another winch which I wanted to maintain the Warn packaging with, as the bar is designed to fit that box neatly, though the Warn solinoids are not what I wanted.
I've just installed into a Warn box the Tigerz11 solinoid, the remote unit and used the Warn 5-pin hand controller.
Q. ... Is it at all possible to maintain the 5-pin setup for the Warn controller and have the remote unit operate without the hand controller plugged in? Its easy to setup like this with a 3-pin controller, but if possible I wasn't sure how to wire it all up as a 5-pin.

I bought the entire Tigerz11 winch control box with wireless and hand remote. At the moment its pretty much setup as it came out of the Tigerz11 box, except using the warn hand controller and 3 of the pins instead of the Tigerz11 hand controller. The other 2 pins control the solinoid earth so that it is active only when doing the actual winching on the hand controller, so I've expected that this then wont allow the remote to work unless the earth is sent directly to the solinoid. I was going to join the earthing wires in the Warn handpiece to overcome this, but even then it means the hand controllers needs to be plugged in, even if using the remote.
I wasn't sure if there was a way of making the remote unit work by itself, and still maintain the 5-pin function on the hand controller to make it a little more tamper proof.
There are some ebay stores who make their identity a secret - I wouldn't buy off someone who hides his face either.
Then there are legitimate businesses who also sell on ebay and an ebay or phone order sale is treated no differently to a walkin off the street sale.
I had a Tigerz sale the other day where a customer reported a minor problem and it stunk of abuse (customers sometimes forget that I go off road too) but Paul told me to swap his complete winch for a new one regardless. So far I have never had a warranty problem with these winches. I only sell a few a day.

how does your warranty work when purchasing over ebay/by mail etc??? what is parts availablility like/going to be like for the next 3 years?
parts are always available
if a problem arose,you would ring BEN our technican you would go thru the problem maybe it can be fixed over the phone ,if not the part would be posted back to us,the entire winch would not need to be posted back,as the winch sections are easy to dismantled ,ie motor gearbox control box,we would ask the purchaser to pay for the part to be posted back because if it has been misused i dont beleive it would be fair for us to wear that cost ,if it was the winch that failed the purchaser would be rembursed postage ,we try to be as fair as possible ,as for how would it be in 3 years ,we have only been going 5 years but the manufacter 16 years ,and we are continuly growing.
