75 series rear disc brake

Post by cjb123 »

Hi there,
I usually live on the other side in the Nissan camp but don't hold that against me (I'm asking for a friend who is a Toyota Fan).
Anyway we are half way through rebuilding a 98 model 75 tray for him.
All the rear brakes were stuffed and ALL the hand brake stuff on the rear diff is missing.
Does any no if the brakes/ hand brake of an 80 series are interchangeable or if anyone makes an after market hand brake unit that goes on the back of the transfer.
Cheers

ah... dont know about 98 models but my 97 troopy handbrake is a mini drum-like setup.

it has the rear disc for regular braking but the centre of that is a small drum where the handbrake goes.
