Brake Disc Replacement

Post by Dakota »

To cut a long story short, i was out beach tripping last weekend and embarrassingly, one of my front brake pads fell out of my lwb 1ltr. Seeing the pad was down to metal... the brake disc is going to be pretty rooted and i was wondering if my spare 1.3 wt discs will fit straight on, rather then grinding the old one back...seeing that I'm still at school i'm trying to save every last penny i can.

Yep, all sierra discs are the same.

The discs must already be worn to have the pad fall out anyway. I think the service limit is cast into the centre of the disc. If you go looking at a wreckers or similar just take a vernier with you to check the stuff you are getting is up to scratch.

Maruti's have a slightly differant disc that may not fit on to a 1.3 (Its just some machining on the inside of the disc that has not been done). But 1.3 discs will fit Maruti's.
