good luck Brad & Brad - i'm sure you'll give them all a run for their money - go get em!. i'll miss you this time though - i'm afraid three comps in a row is just too much for my body to handle, maybe i can try it next year, have fun everyone!

we had a quiet weekend with only three competitors and all in B class.
[35" - 37"tyres]
we had a heat run down the canyon on saturday morning, another heat run down the canyon saturday night and the finals run back up the canyon on sunday morning.

B3: Ashley Bunney and Angus Allen pushed the 2.8 hilux hard all weekend with a 14'4", 12'27", and a final run of 12'25" to bring it in to second place.
they bent a spring hanger and a tie rod on the final run.

B2: Michael Davis and Grant Walker had a great first run down the canyon in the 4.2TD GU with a superb time of 9'36" but did a tyre near the start on the night stage and changed it dropping their time to 33'50".
their final run was stuffed by another destroyed tyre but they drove the track on three to complete it in 26'15" bringing it into third place.

B1: Wil Neilson and Chris Brame in the 5.7 GQ did a fantastic 8'57" but were put off by the lights of a spectator and cruised to a 11'22" on the night stage.
their final run was a race winning 8'49" only 15 seconds short of the best ever time.

We may have been well down on numbers due to other comps just before and during this weekend but we all had a great time anyway.

already looking forward to next year

Thanks to Shane and his band of helpers for the weekend.

Thanks to Grant for co-driving and an awesome job on the winch to get us through this mornings track on only 3 tyres. If he didnt work as hard as he did today we would have ended up with a DNF.

Thanks to Will for lending us his spare tyre to be able to get the truck on and off the trailor. jeez it looks good on BFG Krawlers!!

What an awesome competition, that was some of the best fun in a 4WD ive ever had. Disapointing that we had two runs ruined by tyres but this mornings run was fun all the same. I was very happy with my time on the first run and although I dont think i had another minute in me i think we could have bettered it again.

Damage - 2 x tyres  + one on the trailor on the way home
1 x rim
1 x staun
1 x tie rod end :bad-words:

Since the first comp three years ago I have not heard a driver who did not have a ball. It is most definately a drivers comp., and should not be missed if you think you can drive.

Thanks to Shane for a well run event. Hope to see you next year hopefully with a few more competitors. Had a great weekend was lots of fun, sadly my ute is a little worse for ware with a bent chassis and bent diff. Will have it back up and running by the next winch challenge.

Thanks again to Shane, all officals and the photographers.
