I've still got Manky eyes from a pretty severe bout of conjunctavitis so I think this is going to be a fun weekend in that respect!

We've had it too, it's going around, just like the cold which gave us all throat infections. Still going to Willowglen though!

Yeah, I seen the 80 tumble. We had one car left in front of us before it was our turn when that happened, and that was after a 4hr wait to get that close to driving. We got an average on that course along with the other drivers still lined up and waiting.

Although it was a wet weekend and we had a very unhealthy, dying engine we still had fun Thanks to everyone involved in organising the event.

It was a slow event!! i waited 2 hours for my first drive on saturday then 6 hours till my second, my 3rd event i needed headlights on . I Realize the weather changes things but in some tracks it was 5 plus minutes from 1 car exiting and the next 1 starting and nothing needed fixing on the track

the 80 rolled on All Gullied Out, i think Brindabella won but dont qoute me on that. it was an awesome weekend and we had a blast, still trying to work out how to get my snapped axel out it broke about 200mm from the end of the hub and has dropped down into the housing pulled the other axel out and the rear driveshaft and drove home on the front diff

The orange dual cab won overall for individual placings not ziggy. He was in Brindabella club.

Ok I was sober at presentation and Steven Brennan driving and John John navigator won their class (Touring) in a Hilux shorty of course, with a total of 655 points which also gives them the over all win as well.
1st prize an ARB diff lock!
Over $19000 in total prizes
Well done to TLCC with a top event and well done to the competitors for putting on an awsum display of top driving in wet greasy conditions.

What points did you guys end up with

ACT 4wd club ended up around 1600 i think

I got 465 as an individual score

I ended up with 380 without doing the mud and had to cop the average for the spider which was 33. pretty happy with a couple of stages drove both up the creek and gullied out with only a couple of minor penalities.
Its a tuff event if you drive a LWB and wide truck. not much room to move between bunting and poles.
pretty happy as my first comp.

I think it would be pretty low. The average for the spider was only 33 and more cars were driving that than the waterfall.

Sounds like TLCC recovery team at it again..

I realise they are volunteers and put in a massive effort BUT some things they do are bloody painfull and slow. When you get a good crew its not bad but when you get others it is mind numbing.

As for the 80 roll-over, this was a slow recovery, but the driver wanted the car skull-dragged backward, rather than righted from it's original position. It was also the driver who wanted the car pulled from the body and not the rear recovery point. His aim was to keep the chassis straight, as he considered that the body was already buggered. The recovery team have to do as requested by the driver. The marshal had closed the course, so the TLCC recovery team had no need to rush.

I've got to say the courses I was watching, the recoveries weren't too bad.

Overall great weekend, rain and all! Well done to TLCC for a tops weekend. (Is Tony walking yet?? )

Oh and well done to Missus MadFab in the zook! AFAIK the only driver to make the 70 point mark in the mud run

Mark and Jason Borg from my club (Kamikaze) came second overall in challenge class with 540 odd points.

Excelent weekend even though it rained, TLCC did a great job. As for the recoveries the guys do a good job i know everyone thinks they know better but they are trying to preserve the vehicle, the track and do it in a safe manner. The quickest way is not always the best. Remember they volunteer their time, recovery equipment and vehicles. There were a few guys there that were new to the game also.

Thanks to Tony, Mary and all that helped make it a great event.
