night run

Post by A.R.T Racing »

We must say thanks for the organisers of the night run also. My wife and I haven't been on one for years and really enjoyed it. Sometimes struggled with the map but we always seem to make a few wrong turns... I couldn't believe how many old night run guys/girls that were also doing the run there was about ten of us.

Drove the checkpoints 1 to 4 first go no problems but got stuck in the mud on 5. A winch out of that and we drove the rest of the stage!

Both of us had a fantastic time - thanks again to the club and all the checkpoint guys!!

I find it hard to believe that you got stuck in the MUD al . Is this is what happens when the 4WD TV cameras arent there ???? or is it that you left the mighty SILVERSTONES AT HOME ????

Me and my next navi (wife) were in the (new to us GQ Ute). Damo the red ute has always been going just not got a roll cage or winch or anything so not a competition car yet...

Bob i was as surprised as you are when the Silverstones didn't get through the mud. Obviously the driver not the tyres at fault! Judith has learn't now to put the window up when we hit mud, a bit of mud inside the car and also on her (not happy).

The hole was nothing, it was the step at the end of it that was the hard bit. What made a mess was 2nd low and 6500rpm  After a bit I had dried the top of the bank out and the front tyres were smoking :D But we drove it, the next bit of that check point was a little different

Hey Tuff355,

Did you see the placings the SILVERSTONES WON !!

Not too bad for 35" tyres that have already done many comps a couple of years ago.

Couldn't resist that one Bob...
