1986 MITSUBISHI PAJERO
NC Wagon Sports 2dr Man 5sp 4x4 2.6
Stage 3 head, new front of motor, extractors, racing webber carb. 5 mags from new Paj with roadworthy road tyres. A great buzz box.
rust damaged, some structural.
Needs rust, shocks, spongey brakes and front left drivetrain fixed for roadworthy.

about $600 or so

what size rims do these look like so i know what rubber i can run.
i have heard of carby dramas?
tell me about shock setup on these?
fuel tank size?
is standard low gear any good?

im looking for my bro but i might use it for a while until another nissan happens along ;)

It's a bargain coz I sold my 15x7" factory alloy rims (x5) with 31x10.5 BFG All Terrains for $600 recently.

-Standard low range is 1.944:1 (about 36:1 in 1st)
-The resin bodied carbs can be troublesome but once rebuilt and tuned properly run quite well.
-Fuel tank size for a swb is 60ltr.
-Rear shocks for the leaf springs are top and bottom pin mount.
-Front shocks are top stud bottom pin mounts.

Offer $500 and see how ya go if you can do the rust/body repairs yourself then it's a steal.
I just luv my "clacker Jabber"

To answer some of your questions:

The rims look like the 15x7 off NJ Pajeros & earlier challengers (pretty much as Frank said.)
I have heard Webers can be a nuisance at extreme angles - might depend on the type, and if they've been modified properly for offroad.

As Frank pointed out, the wheels and tyres are probably worth more than the asking price (I paid $140 delivered for 1 wheel from a wrecker - some were asking over $200 each.) I don't think you could go too far wrong.

Cheers,

Scott
