Why does everyone seem against the plates? Its all relative really. Its like paint, looks good but serves no real purpose.... How many 4b owners have had their trucks resprayed or repainted?? No different to spending the 2g's on plates that last forever..

When I buy my ferrari, I will spend what ever it takes to get the plate "FERRARI".... hmmmm 7 letter plates......(they release one per year in Qld).... My point is that the money is not the issue!

Whatever turns you on s'pose, just a lot of guys could spend that money on mods that will improve the performance of their vehicle on the trail - locks, gears, rubber, drivetrain beef, the list is endless...

If you can afford a ferry, then spending for plates prolly won't worry you.

Had a look at the nsw rta site ,and the pricing has all changed ,
So if you have a set you like , that don,t cost anything then don,t part with them , seems all the personallised ones have a yearly fee now. :!:

How about the N.T ?

They were only $50 because they only use numbers on a standard plate so they were running out of numbers.......i think !

I like them... Got them as a 21st pressie. Every1 I know knows my car as 'joelux' anyway, so the plates just suit....

As for cost, in vic it is only a once off thing, $318 or so i think the receipt said....

Not sure as he USED to work with me.

But knowing the ricer mentality he probably kept it for the "Status"

When I owned a 4-runner, another 4-runner pulled up next to me at the lights and the guy leaned out the window and offered to sell "4Runner" to me for $4K... by the time the lights turned green he was down to $2k. :)

If you like them thats good, if ya dont like them thats alright but how many times have people tried to past the time on a trip trying to work out what a plate says. It can also keep the kids quiet if there old enough to read. So what does my plate read? PURE4B :D
