TD42 Oil pump

just a quick question about the TD42 oil pump, i take it, it is located where the oil filters mount to, is this correct?

has any one had one fail?

:rofl: AS far as I now its in behind thye timing cover.Its a gear type pump which are very strong. If your having a oil pressure problem,look at the oil relief valve which is in the filter head

no oil pressure problems, i was just tryin tolearn a few new things as my oil light was stayin lit for a bit long, but an oil and filter change today fixed that, im going to have to buy a manual

I found COOPERS oil filters cause the light to stay on, they dont have the 'drain back' thing in them. all oil runs out of them totally.

I use Genuine Nissan ones, get em for $10ea from local bloke.

i was using phenix (spelling) but have now gone back to ryco as i favour them more.

hi guys (and girls) the relife valve is on the left side under the exaust manifold the filter bypass valve is in the filter head .
