demodave#24 is having issues accessing OL so has asked that someone update the details in this thread for him. So the update is below...

Because of the huge amount of interest in this event we will now require all entries to be pre paid.

prompt attention will be needed as we have been hammered with emails regarding entering this.

we have 4by's coming from sydney, blue mountains & even down sunny corner way.

entry fee is $20
money orders & chq's to be made out to cessnock & district ag assoc & to be sent with name & address & phone details along with ur 4wd details.

send to;
cessnock showground
c/o 8 lindsay st
cessnock nsw
2325

no entries can be taken on the day.
we need an idea on numbers.......

cant be expecting 30 4wd's & 300 turn up.

our program goes for 5 hours n we haf ta fit it all in.

tell everyone to send entry in asap to make sure that they get a run.

Just an idea, but might make it easier for the you guys(the organisers) & entrants if;

A: an "Entry Form" with all required info was available to be filled out & cheque/m-order sent in with that.

OR

B: "Flyer" with all details of this event(Time, date, conditions of entry, events etc) and an entry slip at the bottom of it where you can complete & tear/cut off and send in along with cheque/m-order.

This way you would get the required info you need from all entrants without having to chase people up.

Hope this helps in the preparation of your event.... Goodluck with it!!
;)

Hi Brighty

That's an excellent idea & if it were my event then that's exactly what I would do, however I was merely doing a good deed & passing on the info on behalf of Dave.

tuff 45 there is no contact number that I am aware of.

If you'd like to try & contact Dave you could try to PM him on the 4wd monthly/action forum or Downunder 4x4.

Cheers

another update from Dave.

no helmets needed, but you are required to wear seat belts.

also any unrego'ed contraptions turning up will be scrutinized ie brakes, seat belts etc before they run.

sorry about the drama's i'm having on outer limits but it's out of my hands there.

the entries are starting to flow through the post so the message must be getting through.

just a note for guy's n gals who have ran before, the drag strips were started this arvo n they will be different this time.

they will start out about a foot deep n end up even deeper at the end.....

names will be at gate and marked off on arrival.

remember 2 be there by 4pm.......

also i forgot 2 mention to bring a white marker or tape 4 ur chosen car numbers so the commontator can tell who's who.....

car numbers will be required to be displayed on each side of car pref the rear side windows etc.....

No probs, have an answer for you Tony and an update below.

only 1 passenger allowed but they 2 must have seat belts on......

also any cowboy's-cowgirls etc who take it upon themselves 2 perform donuts etc at the end of the drag strip or anywhere else on grounds will be disqualified.

u can go 4 ur life through the mud but common sense must prevail elsewhere.

please make sure that this rule is followed....
don't want 2 be 2 tuff but safety is the key 4 this event & any further events.

drag strips were done this arvo & let me tell u they will be very interesting.

Cheers

As Dave is having issues & can't login to OL the best way to contact him is on either the 4wd monthly forum or Downunder4x4.net

but as night come on it went to shit the 9:15 firewroks went off at about 10:45
