EXTREME Winch Challange Round 1

Post by GODZUKI »

We just got back from LCMP watching the Friday night and Saturday stages of the winch challenge. As i have sold the ute we were forced to the sideline.

I will try to get som pics posted.

Generally there was a lot of carnage - BIG DOLLAR CARNAGE.

The biggest was Brent Perrot in the LCMP sponsored GU Ute. It had a heavy roll whist trying to climb out of SS2. The guys were O.K but the ute wasn't. Then they tried to finish the stage and detinated the motor. I have never seen so much white smoke and high revs.

Trent Leen rolled on the same hill but it wasn't as heavy and he didn't suffer an engine prob's.

The old blokes racing ute was opening up like a can of sardines by a tree they hit VERY hard. It separated the guard front the chassis back to the passengers door. The bull bar end was pushed in 90 degrees and the diff was disloged. The impact broke the control arm.

There was a few other rolls, lots of body and drivetrain damage.

It looks like it will be between doddsy and trent leen.

No Birdy didn't compete in this one, still making mods to the truck + the cage wasnt ready.

It was a good roll!!!

It was a very sad moment indeed when the motor %$#& itself.

It was perfect timing though as the night was dragging at that time - about midnight.
