just got a 1992 hilux dual cab 2.8l diesel, and i want to raise it a bit was going for a 2inch lift. my question is that it has leaf springs front and back, should i get new leaf springs or just push it up with shockies??

you'll get a lot of debate between whether to go for the OME dakars or not. Im running them, and in the front, they arent coping well, which is surprising considering that the new 3.0TD engine is LIGHTER than the 2.8D it replaced, but the Medium duties in the rear are doing fine!

Fit new springs they are cheap enough.stampy4x4 wrote:You can't raise your suspension by fitting new shock absorbers. You have to reset your springs or fit new 2" raised springs.
