was watching a 4wd action dvd yesterday and the guy said his truck had 12" drop boxes can someone please explain what they are and how they work? im guessing they drop down so the spring dosnt fall out but thats just what i gathered

seirra, ute chop, air locked 60 series diffs, 4-link rear, 3 link front, 35's,18" fox air shoxs, h.i.d's, 6hp high mount,
They are bolted onto the mount for the front radius arm on patrols/cruiser/bunderas/rover (all with front coil springs obviously) and lower the mount point to both correct for castor and flatten the arms out which are affected by the installation of taller springs.
