Mrs Wazza
looks like this car is being used by two teams
I hope you dont think this car is the same as team #4...
Was guessing it was team 16 and team 38 from the stickers on the door and bonnet.

We had an absolute blast. Just like to thank everyone involved. It was our first time (we were virgins) We had reasonably easy breakages to fix (special thanks to blackburn nissan) ;) . Had some prety good stages and some not so good stages. We learned heaps. We were very surprised to have come 3rd for production class. We would like to thank Greg Smith for the on going support and sponsorship. Super Coach (aka Justin Worden) thank you for all the helpfull hints on tactics and steering tips, and also thank everyone who helped when it came down to the wire to get the truck ready for the day. Also to all the "support crew" was realy good havin you guys there to cheer us on and keep our spirits up.

Thanks again: Owen Rough Rider Racing (car 34)

As the other's have posted Vic Winch was an really good event, had a ball!
Cory, Dan, Jaey and I had an great battle over the event when we both got done for moving without a seat belt on our first stage on friday night , which left us last and cory 2nd last :( but had a great fight back on sat and sunday swaping times very similar, but then Cory had the roll which was just bad luck and that left us in 4th spot overall and 1st in Production.
Go !!!!!AURORA CUSTOM FABRICATION RACING!!!!!!
Jaey and i are over the moon with results as we had a stellar come back and car went all good. Would be good to see any photo's up or you can e-mail them to me at lp1661@yahoo.com.
A very big thanks to all the organiser's who got this event up and running in such short time and did an exellent job, and also a big thanks to the other drivers who are all a great bunch of people.
Well done to lisa for driving so well and putting up with all the sexist jokes along the way. :)
And Finally and big thanks to the people that make racing for me posible
- David and Aurora Custom Fab, call him for any fab, he does exellent work ph: 0433 500 655
- Jaey my navigator, would be stuffed without him
- Loz my wife for putting up with it
- My family for support
- And all the people that help out with prep for car and parts and the comps.

Will get some pics up soon.

Edited footage on YouTube before we could even get back to the pub after the day's racing! Thanks Belinda!

Was another great weekend with some good fun tracks. We were doing pretty well (about 4th) till we broke an outer axel on our 2nd last saturday stage and DNFed, then DNSed the last stage for that day trying to get the hub of a mashed up spindel. Still did most tracks though and had a lot of fun

Some thanks:
*Everyone who got the event up and running and made it happen.
*The property owners.
*Bryan (Unlimited Industries), Rohan Canavan, Cory (TUF-SWB) and Burnsy (Cory's pit crew) for helping to get the car going again, without your help we would have been well and truly in the sh*t!
*Clive for only making me get out and run twice :D

The car's now getting more capable and more reliable between every comp, and we're gaining heaps of valuable experiance. Bring on the Engel Challenge Series for 2009

Good on the fellas who drove. I for one thought the 'closed' environment made it awesome to be able to get right up to the tracks for a look, well done the orgynisers.

according to the latest newsletter on the ccda web page

http://www.ccda4wd.com.au/images/CCDANe ... ep2008.pdf

there is a dinner, although there is conflicting information as to the date. the flyer in the newsletter says it is being held 9/11. The calender of events says it is being held 14/11. the venue is the same as last year; the Veneto Club in Bullen.

Just confirming what Alison said, Friday 14th is the correct date, typo slipped through in the newsletter. It is at the same venue.

Wayne,
some info on here for people on how to book a seat might be useful, the flyer doesn't tell me who to book a table through.
cheers
