clutch/gear issues
clutch/gear issues
i have a 95 sj70 sierra. i was stopped behind a car at the lights and had it in 1st gear with the cluth in, i was there for about 30 secs and i herd a bang which i felt on the cluch peddle, then some tickking. then i herd and felt a second bang and with the clutch in the car started crawling forward slowly then 2 secs later a third bang and it was all good again. so i drove for about a km and i went to drop back a gear and and couldnt get the stick in any gear. so i stopped and i went right again and i drove home and there was no hassles any ideas? it seems perfectly fine now.
Snapped spring off the pressure plate flogging around in there.
or same as what happened to my mazda years ago. a spring broke free out of my friction plate. flogged around in there for a bit then wedged itself between the friction plate and the pressure plate. not allowing me to release the clutch which made for a fun drive from wickham to edgey. took better part of 2 hours
