GQ steering box goes clunk!
GQ steering box goes clunk!
I went offroad today and gave the GQ a bit of a work out. I had to do a U turn in a tight spot with about 5 point turn. I found that when I went to full lock left and then came back to centre the steering box made a clunk and the steering felt like it jumped a tooth? The steering wheel still lined up when going straight tho. Is it worh chasing the problem or just replace the box?

theres no way the steering box should 'jump a tooth'.
hard to say about the clunk with minimal description. clunks can mean movement where there is not supposed to be movement or something else completely.
have a friend turn the steering wheel back and forth while you are under the front of the car trying to locate the noise.
