it helps if you have the right offset and your tyre isn't too wide.

Just go the 33 in a 12.5 width, cut the back of the front guard down near the sill, make sure tyres dont fowl on springs on full lock, should be good to go
or...........put them on and see where they touch !!!!!!

dont go shackles they are useless without longer leaves, i run 33s by 12.5 on cruiser offset rims on my 83 lux, has 2 inch bl and thats it. only place it scrubs is at full cross axle flex when turning really hard. on the front mudflap where it connects to the body. the back doesnt scrub coz unbolted mudguards of ally tray and will make rubber ones. what model lux u got, is it ifs or solid axle?
As for the speedo wat about just buying/using a gps, more accurate and u can use it on the trails lol, otherwise marks adaptors also does a speedo correction unit!!

i dont know about your body shape but mine seems fine, last time i went out 4wding i was with pootrols with 33s and 35s and i did everything they did the only place it touched on mine was the front mudflaps where they connect to the body, it should be fine on the road and fine with minimal suspension flex. my rule has always been buy the tyre size u want and mod the truck to suit that not by the tyre that fits.
another thing is to look into the rim offset mine are landcruiser which i think is -25 or about that, someone please correct me if im wrong.
Hope this helps mate.

Mine is the same year model as yours and with a 2" spring and 2" body and my 33's still scrub when flexed up and that is after a touch up to the inner guard with a hammer and shears. I will be moving the diff forward soon to stop this, not that it is real bad now I would just prefer it not to touch.all 4's wrote:hey sorry it a 92 soild so 33's will fit with bugger all scrubin?
I think it will come down to how much your front end flexes. If your springs don't flex well you probably wont have a problem. If you do want it to flex though I think you would need the spring lift as well to run that size tyre.
Ben
Your best to fit them and try it, there are so many variations to peoples opinions on this topic. Some say 2" is fine some say 4" is needed others as above say you need to move the diff forward. Your best to get a set to try before you buy. See where they will hit and if you want to do the mods to stp it go for it

ok
my 94 lux with 2" b/lift and 2" springs and 32x11 muddies scrubs pretty bad on the back end of the wheel arch in the bush still.ive hammered it a bit and cut it a little trying to keep it tidy still.maybe move your diff forward a inch by redrilling your perches???
sierra truggy,37 sticky treps,propane,6.5s and disconnect,lux diffs with spools,16" fox shox,hydro steer.
kids, no need for axle relocation plates.. drill ya perches.. costs nothing and better than plates... simple, just watch shaft spacers as i got done for mine by dot.. to drill perches ya need a few drilll bits, legthen ya front shaft or get a 35mm spacer... adjustable draglink, shorten ya torque rod or highsteer the bitch.. or adjustable again. i run 34/11 simex under my lux with sagged 2 inch springs, 2 inch cab and diff moved 35mm..
Cheers.
Cheers.
