Thanks for the informative posts! I've started doing a bit of body work to it and there's a fair bit of rust, especially in the passenger side rear guard, but its been bashed, cut out and fiberglassed now. Then ill slap some bog over it and respray. Its being painted black and silver two tone which will look a bit nicer than the bronze mixed with rust and dents as it is now.

Also I like the idea of having the removable rear roof, however by the look of all the torx head screws securing the roof on, it seems like it'd take a while to take it off. So the thought of making a soft top popped into my mind, has anyone tried this on an MQ/MK shorty? Would a mod plate be required for something like that?

driving round topless is great!! it does take abit of time getting it off, so id sugest doing so when you know you wont get rain for a few days, coz it takes just as long to put it back on again...

as for a mod plate, i highly doubt it would be needed, as its totaly fine to drive around with the top off, so puttin abit of canvas there should be fine.(at least, no1 told me off when i had my top off for a month or so...)

asides from driving topless, its also nice to take ya roof off ya truck aswell :D
