Manual hub queation
I took my troopy for a squirt in 4x4 the other day, once I was done Unlocked the hubs etc and drove home. On the way home I could hear a brushing sound from the front end and didnt know what the hell it was.. Well today I jacked the car up and spun the rims and the front right was making a slight clicking sound so I turned the hub lock to lock and then unlock again and now the noise is gone. Im presuming that the hub didnt dissengage properly in the 1st place. I have travelled around 40ks at 100kph since been 4x4ing, would this damage the hub at all?
Jabber gone. Now have 98 nissan terrano and a 94 4.2ldiesel rv troopy on 33s slowly getting the fancy bits. How the hell do I change my user name?
Beuty, thanks for that.... I foung my brushing noise too, it wasnt the hub, the little steel bit that goes over the brake pads is slightly rubbing on the inside of my rim. No big deal so im relieved!
