How do Superswamper LTB's Compare
I've recently purchased a sierra with 34" LTB's but they are getting on a bit now. I was going to keep em as road tires and purchase another set, either 33, 34 or 35 inch tyre, however im not sure if i should go LTB, Claws or Simex ET. i wont be doing heaps of black top driving and absloutly love mud!!
Thanx in Advance

Re: How do Superswamper LTB's Compare
you will grow out of it once you figure out that it just costs you money and repairs all the time...lockdup wrote:nd absloutly love mud!!
if your happy with what you got, then stick with them.
they get a good wrap from zook people..
i take neccesary measures to avoid damage from mud, but i dont think ill get over it too soon. the boggers are a cool tyre Dee and i see how they would work well but i just cant justify a tyre that extream. Thanks for the sugestions. any experiance with claws or ets

why go backwards! Claws are nowhere near as good as LTBs i'd have claws as road tires and my swampers for offroad. As for Simex they are really stiff on zooks so not that great. The 34/9.5 Swamper is a sweet tyre for the zook a lot of guys run it...slightly more agressive than the LTB and skinnier giving a better fit.
Otherwise the 35x10.5-16 Silverstone Extreme would also be a sweet tyre, slightly larger in diamter than the LTB and a nice soft compound. These are also very cheap compared to simex, MT etc. We have these coming in stock in a couple of weeks. Call us for pricing on swampers, silverstone and maxxis.

I had simexes on my zook, they were stiff but they NEVER let me down in mud.Gemmy Toolangi, Otways were awesome. Ive now got LTB's from flexy, they are that quiet on road they compare to my MTZ's on my Jeep. As for serious mud, we havent got any atm, so I cant compare but looking forward to it.
PS: I had my LTB"s down to 10 psi, no difference in bulge visually compared to my Simexes.
And I never lost my bead on a Simex.
But, value for money LTB's win hands down.
