solid axel v IFS rims
HI Guys,
searched and came up with nothing.
Are the IFS hilux range rims the same offset as solid axel ones?
Basically will the 16 inch rims off a surf or 4 runner fit on an ln106 solid axel.
I want to fit 285/75/16s and am really struggling to find second hand rims. so if its a wider offset it should be ok.

id rather just buy the right offset than stuff around with spacers and possible legality issues.
just finding it so hard to find rims to suit.
no one in nsw ever seems to have what i want - plenty in melbourne or brisvagas. but a set of rims/tyres shipping would be killer.

.
the rims have a different offset but also they are a different shape between the wheel studs and the brake caliper . the solid axle needs a step around the brake caliper. if you buy any american wheels most of the time you need to run 6mm spacers.

Re: .
You mean like the Mickey T rims, Dick Cepek, Walker Evans, etc?? I have never needed to run a wheel spacer, just get the right offset and it wont be a problem. Talk to someone like Ryano he can do freight on his stuff at reasonable cost and imo is the best in the business.lukes4x4 wrote:the rims have a different offset but also they are a different shape between the wheel studs and the brake caliper . the solid axle needs a step around the brake caliper. if you buy any american wheels most of the time you need to run 6mm spacers.
