have done a couple of long trips in the last couple of months, mostly high way with a small ammount of 4wd at the destination.
When getting to the destination or home the front diff smells like burning oil, the oil gets changed every 40,000 or sooner if its been swimming.
Last trip took some time to turn the front wheel lights off after hitting the road.
What in the diff whilst in 2wd will burn the oil, the diff works fine and quiet otherwise, or should I just put some free wheel hubs on and forget about it ?
