Have 92 GQ. Broke lower control arm and replaced. On driving off heard large noise under the body. The rear yoke, still attached to the driveshaft had pulled off the diff splines. On inspection I have found a nut inside the yoke which I believe holds the yoke into the diff splines. Am I correct? I am hoping this is all that has come loose. I'm assuming all I have to do is take off yoke and then rescrew nut onto spline and then reattach to driveshaft. Am I correct or should I be looking for something else too.
Any help would be appreciated to this very apprentice mechanic!
Cheers Ian
when the diff folds up it usualy breaks the diff pinion of at the splines, i think that may be your case, oh ya it usualy bends the tail shaft as well. hope ya put some descent arms in it and learned the lesson

Pinion splines all still there and seem to be ok, same on yoke. New control arms are hardened...so I hope it doesn't happen again. I have a feeling that the nut was not on anyway and therefore the tailshaft was spat out before it's done any damage. I hope so...
Let u know.
