Baleno motor available

Post by PJ.zook »

If anyone is after a Baleno motor, Centre Road Wreckers in Clayton currently have a whole Baleno sitting there with engine still in. Unfortunately some parts have been stripped (namely every part i bloody needed), but the bulk of the motor is still there... didnt look to see if ecu is still there.

Any idea what year it was?

i.e. G13BB?

(i have my extinguisher ready is it turns out they are all G13BBs)

What does the Centre road place charge for an engine?

Yeh it was a G16B and no i dont know how much they charge.

I also found a more complete G16B (this one with coilpack ignition) at one of the wreckers at the very start of south gympie hwy just off Princes Hwy. Dont know how much they want either, but its a lot more complete and suitable for conversion (its now missing IAT sensor hehe).

Baleno conversion to do it properly is a royal PITA when youre trying to rush it to have it ready for a big trip. Just put in 27hrs straight into zook and its still not done, have had to postpone trip for 2 days to tassie.
