After Market Alarm

Post by Newtothefourbeworld »

Hey there,

Im in the process of installing an aftermarket alarm/central locking and have hit a few bumps i was hoping someone on here may be able to help with.

Firstly the immobilizer solanoid.......not 100% sure what the diagram shows but from what i can see it looks like the aim is to 'cut' the starter constant 12v feed and insert the switched wires of the solanoid and then also cut the 12v starter fee (ie from ignition) and have that run through the alarm.....from looking around it appears the starter wire is a black/white wire but im not sure where to access it from. Also does anyone know which wires that would be on the starter? - i have looked at the manuals but they are unclear.

will submit a wiring diagram once i find a scanner that works

thanks

You're better off disabling the engine elsewhere - doing the starter motor involves high current wires (even for the solenoid) and doesn't stop someone from push starting it.

Oh yeah, don't post on here what you've done to disable it- for the world to see!
