Looking at getting a skat ute just wondering what the pro's and con's are.

pro's, good and reliable
con's, getting parts, lockers or any after market gear is getting hard to find.

I luvd my scat ute..cheap easy mods can be done to make them look real tuff, or if your handy with a welder you can go all the way..
# CHEAP TUFF = 2" body lift,cut the guards out following the flare line,pop rivet on a set of rubber flares ($11 per meter from the truck spares) buy a set of f100 offset sunrayser rims s/hand (usually wreckers) & she will look tuff. rocky 5 speed box, or the biger rocky motor not a prob,all fit the same engine mounts.
# CHEAP HOURSE POWER = a V6 commadore & auto do fit in quite well, & the power is unbeleavable, using a marks adaptor kit,I would couple them up to a nissan transfer case (as it will have its own hand break,like the scat but stronger) then change your drive shafts. you will probably need to run 35" or 37" tyres then to keep up with the high revs,
# NOT CHEAP = GQ or 80 series running gear with full coil suspension,
I DID THESE SORT OF MODS TO MY SCAT, & TOOK IT OUT TO THE OUTBACK CHALLENGE & DROVE HER HOME IN A TOP 10 POSITION.
you can check it aout in its scat form in this site in pigletracing, thats b4 I modded a feroza cab to put on it (I still prefer the scat shape)

And whats happening with Piglet anyway ? First you give cryptic hints about selling it to a Mexican the we hear nothing. Come on make with the info....
