Very, very vaguely, they usually are around 2000kg for a SWB, 2300kg for a LWB. Quite a bit less for the engine options with the smaller gearbox, or autos.

wow I am surprised at the weights I was thinking the gq would have been heavier than quoted.
I was thinking the 60series would have been lighter than quoted.......

I was pretty close quesing with the sizukis
I never thought it would be so similar (exluding the Zook and Jeep)

Ow and an 80series lighter than the Rangie.......wow

my manual says range rover 1970 - 1992....(I understand this covers a lot of ground but was written around 1980 so info is relevant to early 80's models.).........

" Kerb weight incl. water, oil and 5 gallon fuel - 1723 kg

Maximum vehicle weight 2504kg.....included in these figures is 100kg for fitting auxiliaries (eg winches) which must.....blah blah blah "....

The wieghts quoted for the zooks Dosn't seem right mk , as they run 970kg on rego papers for the soft top swb , which would be your ute at 908,
unless mine still has the cocaine stashed in the doors :lol:

Yeah the specs I posted seemed a bit sus, it said it was for a classic
but I know the 2 doors are a bit lighter mine is only 1900KG full of gear
but I couldn't find my book, and Anthony was wanting 4 door info

I still reckon the weight on the 4 dr rangie is GVM...no way a mostly aluminuim bodied car weighs the same as a steel 80 series..

An 80 series is 2600 every day of the week, with dual tanks, and thats a fact. I used to drive one quite a bit and we have a weigh bridge here, calibrated monthly.

2080 is way too light. More like 2800 with what you have mentioned.

An FJ60 is very similar in weight to the diesel too, 300kilos lighter, for what? another cast iron 6 cylinder? PLEASE!!

I will put down hilux weight i just dont know anything about the year models etc etc. So if you know em put em up and I will add them.

Also what about a short wheel base MQ how heavy are those ? ? ?

Dozoor,

These weight came fromthe local RTA office tare weight sheets supplies to all the authorised examiners here in Canberra. The weghts are supplied by the manufacturer to DOTARS (Dept of Transport and Regional Services) which then supply them to the local registering authorities.
Im only going off that. Also there are that many different models & all the weights are fifferent depending on the spec level.
It wouldnt suprise me if the manufacturers supply an average weight to DOTARS & then supplies a more accurate weight in its owners manuals ( manufacturers do funny things sometimes)

Alternatively you can click here [www.//rvcs-prodweb.dot.gov.aul]

Once you open the page go to Vehicle/RVD search. the search will be more accurate if you have the approval number (CPA number) off your compliance plate.

This will only work for vehicles bult after 1/1/1989,

Not even a 100 series Cruiser weighs that much. I would say you would have a lot of options and tools when you weighed it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It had two tanks, both full, but i am sure that would be minimal, some tools on board, oh and nev, but yeah, was over 2500 everyt ime. bullbar, snorkel, sidesteps, side bars, but it was only a pov. pack. maybe like you said the average weight, this was defintiely what they weighed in at.
