Airrod gas system info-gu

Post by simcoe »

Hi guys
i remember reading in a post afew months ago about regarding a "special" mixer for the airrod system that apparently transforms it..! ie better fuel eccon and abit more power!

Now it's just about tune-up time for mine (tb45) and i thought i would query my gas man about the part and maby try and get it orded/installed!

i'v searched outerlimits for over an hour and tried google as well and cant find anything..

can one of you gas experts help me out or someone direct me to the link please!

cheers :)

cheers Create
well just pulled afew things apart and had a look!
and yeah, where the gas intake line runs into the air intake plumbing the mixer looks nothing like the one in those links.. mine's only a ring and doesn't have that bullet shaped thingy in the guts of it!

And also i think my converter is the ae40 2.0-4.5L, do you think that is to small??
should i ask my gas tuner to fit the ae60 4.0-6.5L?
me thinks it should have the bigger one on it!
oh and also this system was on my old gq3.0l, so it's prob 3 odd years old..and would have been more suited to the smaller engine..!

with regards to the different mixer and bigger converter will that giv more tuning ability for the system..?

thanks again

I'm sure the newer type gas spud would do a better job of mixing air and gas. As for your other questions about the sizing etc you need to PM jessie928 he could answer these questions for you.
