Best Jeep for 35'

Best Jeep for 35'
Hey guys just want to ask a few questions.
Is the Grand Cherokee the only mid size jeep with coils all round?
The XJ had coils front, leafs rear?
So basically I want coils all round for flex, then fit 35's
Im happy to get the grinder out which im assuming is necessary.
Diff Gears?
4.88's for the petrol, is this correct and where are they sold?
That will do for now, thanks

XJ Cherro FOR 35's =
5.5" front coils, 4" rear leaves, 1.5" shackles, long arms front, long shocks, sye, double cardin shaft, disconnects, adjustable track bar, HD tie rod, drop bracket for track bar, ratios 4.56 +++++
All depends what your budget is. My ole XJ ramped over 1100 and thats with leaves in the rear. You dont need coils all round to mod them.
Check out wooders.com.au for parts info and ausjeepoffroad.com for people who have walked there before you.
good luck

Thanks for the replys.
The two doors are bit small, the four doors look pretty good.
But the JK is too new and expensive, I want to scratch mine
(prefer the look of the cherokees anyway)
I want coils for comfort and flex. So the ZJ is looking the part at the moment. Jimmy did you change diffs on your XJ? Were you running lockers?
Can anyone clarify if the diffs are standard d35 on the back, d30 front for the ZJ

Yep D30 front D35 rear. Has CV's instead of the Unis on the XJ though so not quite as strong or easy to replace if they break etc.simmo404 wrote:Thanks for the replys.

If I was going 35's I'd be puting a D44 in the rear and beefing the D30 as a minimum.

Interesting that they went to CVs for the Grand...Steve F wrote: Yep D30 front D35 rear. Has CV's instead of the Unis on the XJ though so not quite as strong or easy to replace if they break etc.

Just for reference Steve what size tyres do you run... BTW love you custom bar and sliders work.
I run 32's, which is pretty tight on an XJ, I also run 4.5-5" of lift and minimal trimming of the guards (I like the stock flares etc), with more trimming I could run 33's but 35's would take way more work and cost and ruin the Jeeps comfortable long distance touring feel. Thanks for the comments on the bar work, I'll be starting on a new front bar as time allows which will have provision for a winch. It'll be a longer process as I'm going to include some upper tube work etc as well.
Cheers
