mk 5 speed box question..

Post by zen »

ok..sorry for ignorance here but dont own a nissan except for lots of sd33 engines which i run in my range rovers...

so i have a new project which again will be running sd33t, i have also this time the matching gearbox and transfer box...are they any good? better than land rover lt77 and lt230???

where is the diff lock and low gear levers???only can find 2/4 wheel drive!!

confused..does it have low range and diff lock??

asking as thinking of fitting the complete setup rather than sd33t and conversion plate to landy gearbox..

thanks

right hand stick is 2H/4H/N/4L, no seperate diff lock because they were not constant 4wd.
They're a good solid box, but can't comment on how they compare to the LR boxes.

yea, the front and back outputs lock together anytime the transfer is in 4H or 4L.
Also the low range ratio won't be as low as an lt230, the nissan box is around 2.2:1
There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots
