G'day,
Pedders Suspension do cold reset's, I believe its about $420 for them to pull them out, re set and refit them
i'd prefer new springs because there is no guarentee reset springs will last long enough before sagging again

mate i reset springs every day.reset springs do work well and can be modifyed to the way u want them .in my opiuon flat springs work best , u have even travel up and down from centre ,as for price we charge $185 to reset and $85 to remove /replace + tax ,thats to do both springs . hope this helps .

thanks for the info so far fellas.. have been quoted 195 to get them reset.. if i pull them out, drop em off in the morn and then pick em up same arvo..
thought about goin down the new springs track but looks like a pair of front leafs is around the 400 buck mark + 60 for matching bushes..
does that sound like 2 much for a new set of spings.. thats for the rock crawler 2inch lifted springs.. prob seen them advertised in 4x4 monthly...
anybody tired and proven somethin more on the cheapy side??

I am not being rude but I think you may of missed the point that Humphey posted.
A flat spring is going to give you a much better ride than some off the shelve 2" lifted spring. That is as long as you are not sitting on the bump stops!!!
I personally would go reset as a new spring is still going to sag. Sure it may take a bit longer but it costs usually at least double to get them in the first place.
perhaps you should look at your shocks also if it is riding harsh with flat springs?
Brian

go to C & D sheetmetal in Queanbeyan (off yass road, aurora or endurance ave, can't remember which) ask to speak to a dude named Hmm (I'm serious, that is what everyone calls him, I don't even know his real name) He does, or use to do, resets for $220 remove/reset/replace. He is a good bloke and does a good job.

the ride is perfect on the highway, round town ect.. no body roll or anythin.. but as soon as i get it off the tar its a nightmare.. only about 1.5 inches off the bumpstops, so i get alot of harsh jarring and stuff.. also the fact that they are flat must mean its sagged a long way ride hight wise.. getting them reset should give me some more hight.. thanks again for the pointers and stuff..

hilux front springs only have about 2.5 ''/3'' of bump stop travel when they were new depending on modle .
the springs were allways pretty flat .the 4 leaf packs had 4'' of camber and the 5 leaf had 5.5'' .after market ones 6''/7'' called hilift springs .
