hi all
i am new to the turbo world and just learning about them
i undrestand the consept of how they work and just have a few qs
can i ru a turbo on dule fule (tb42) petty gas?
if yes \ no then why?
how much am i looking at to buy the parts?
is it something i can learn as i go to fit myself or is there no room for errors?
are there any kits avalable for the tb4.2 and are they any good?

First up, i know the whingers are going to hate it but...
Have you tried searching the forum?? Do yourself a favour and spend a few hours reading up on what other people have done. Turbocharging a TB42 has been covered as many times as "fitting 35's to a GQ".

It depends how much you know, and how important it is to not ruin your motor. What is the benefit of a high manifolds against a low?
Highmount: easier to set up (less bending over), oil drain setup easier, intake plumbing easier. BUT, cant use top mount intercooler as the turbo creates too much heat to make it feasible.
Lowmount: tucks away all nice and neat, can use either top or front mount intercooler, looks more factory, aftermarket turbo manifolds can be had fairly cheap. BUT, bit more involved plumbing oil/water lines, less room to work on, bit more intake plumbing involved.

No such thing as a factory TB42 turbo kit i'm afraid. You're not getting TD42 and TB42 mixed up are ya? TB is petrol, TD is diesel.
Turbo manifolds are interchangeable between TD42/TB42/TB45 engines. So, for example, you could get a manifold for a TD42, and then bolt it onto a TB42 (which a lot of people do).

T4 turbo too. Plenty of hi-po trucks and comp trucks using this setup.
I have the same sort of setup on my 180B. LPG has a higher RON too, which allows for slightly more boost before pinging.
