Upto 1992 were lighter

if its been rebuilt, then not much way to tell apart from pulling down.

100's of turbo 88-97 GQ's out there without issue..

ah right so after 93 they went the light ones

not rebuilt 235000 on it so should be right. wanted to check better to run milder psi in that case?

correct, from late 92 they went with lighter pistons except on factory turbo models which retained the heavier piston etc.

August 1993 when they changed rods / pistons and oil squirters.

August 1995 were external changes like brake vac off alternator etc.

Not sure if thats a question or statement but Safari's came into NZ with factory turbo's from at least 91/92 onwards that I know of.
