A rocky is good but you will struggle with aftermarket support as many have discovered. They are good to a point then you wish you bought a lux or a sierra, not something in between.

I would drive my 4wd to work every day and on weekends, my sierra is crap on highway but i do need to look at gearing and motor abit. It holds 100kmph on highway (flat ground) but is noisey as hell cus softtop. I will be earning around $720 a fornight, and i pay $70 board at friends unit lol. $100 goes to fuel a week ( i drive family commodore  ) which i drive to brisbane 3 times every week, and load for 4wd would be around $80 a week. 4wds i was looking at wer jeep, patrol and navara all around 2001 model. any suggestions??

why do you need a 4x4? Why not just get a run around car or do you need it for work? In which case, what is your work and what do you need to carry in the vehicle? I'm also a bit confused as you say your Sierra is horrible to drive yet you drive the family Commodore. So which is it?

This is a perfect example of take the time, slow down and explain what you have and what you are trying to achieve which as much details as possible

I was going to ask what grimbo just did, do you really need a fourby for daily work driving? If not then keep the sierra for off road weekends and buy a cheap work ute.
