Hey guysi searched for hours and couldn't find anything relevant. Does antbody have a list of the bolts i would need to do a 2in body lift to a 02 S/Cab Lux

I no the trouble your having. i went through it to, unfortunately my 83 is probs nothing like your 02 lol. mine were 90mm long. best bet is to find a bolt and unbolt it and get the length and do that to all the bolts down one side to make sure they are the same/not the same. thats the only way to do it unless your going to trust someone who has done it before
im just picking up a body lift kit off just cruizin' in the misc crap for sale section.

I bought a kit for this reason as I couldnt be arsed with all the stuffing around to find bolts. Your cab will be the same as the 98 and I know for a fact they are not all 10mm bolts, and if its a factory styleside tray the tray bolts are different threads to the others also.Jai wrote:thats what i did coopster i grabbed some ally from work and chopped it up so now i just need bolts
Good luck with it, I would do as suggested and remove one bolt at a time to measure and get the details.

also, without a lathe its hard to turn down alloy stock to 50mm exact lenghts and then bore a hole dead centre and dead straight.

I believe in overkill, I used 3/8 UNF 8.8 bolts but I made a wrist pin that goes through the body block t
help eliminate any shear load on the bolt in the event of a roll over
Started off with 100mm round Alloy stock bar and 20mm medium tensile stock,
machined it into 75mm or 3" blocks and pins to suit
I left my camera at a mates whist I was doing this, so these photos are of my "prototype"
which only had 5/16 MS bolts and a pretty rough finish
Body mount attaches as normal to the wrist pin
Then the pin goes through the block and body with the really heavy large diameter washer in the top picture going
over the pin with the smaller one over the top holding it in compression effectively now making the block an integral part of the body.
Had to machine shoulders into the front ones for clearance, here they are fitted up
I don't think there's another lift kit like it
