Aside from Simex and swampers what are good MT tires ?
Im currently building a pajero town fiesta racing rig with LC40
Solid axles. Im thinking of putting 35" to 37" tires. Simex and swampers are very popular in the Philippines. Are there other tires that you can recommend? I have nothing against simex and swampers, I just want to have more options. Tia

I've just fitted a set of Maxxis Mudzillas. Went very well on the rocks and mud around the glasshouse mountains.
They are very wide tire 13.5 inchs. So you will need to widen your mud flaps.
Do not know if they will do any better than swampers or simex though, they are however cheaper tyres.

Anything is possible, it just comes down to time and money.

Basically town fiesta offroad races here feature about 500 meters of all type of offroad terrain. Mainly mud with hilly slope, water dunking, boulders that will hit your pumpkin if you use 32" tires or smaller. Deep ruts in mud etc..grimbo wrote:what are the conditions you drive in? I'm guessing lots of mud and slippery roads in which case that is probably the reason most run the Simexes and Swampers.
I love the look of the maxxis tires. Are they more expensive than simex or swampers, cheaper or just about the same?
silverstone Xtremes are great value for money

I got a set of silverstone MT117 Sports from Hobzee for 245 each in a 285/75x16....compared them to me mates jungle trekkers and almost the same amount of void inbetween the tread....and they are a big 33...dont beleive the specs they give you on their website.
Their website states the 285 as 33.1 x 11.3....bollocks.
compared to my half worn Buckshots in the same size (when new they are quoted as 33/11.7x16) these silverstones werealmost an inch taller and easily hung out an extra half inch on the sidewall.
But mate, do they grip!
