x2, they are WT diffs with 4.11 gears. However I didnt know that about the flanges Does that mean they are NT driveshafts?mr green wrote:wt marutis have 1.3 sized diffs and axles, however as i found out last week the flanges are nt and the splines are a poofteenth different so you can't swap flanges.
98 WT LWB Maruti, 1.6efi, rockhoppers, 2" body lift, 2" springs, 32" BFG muddies, jimny Power Steer, front lockrite :-)
the lean is standard. when i bolted my age up to my 3sp auto, i made the flange on the auto sump sit level, when i did this it sat the motor on a slight lean.
i used 70x35 rhs for the brackets, they were welded to a 4mm plate and bolted to the engine block. i used engine mounts from an f series holden.
all of it was custom done to get the engine to line up properly.
should be fun when your done.
i read a up a little on people using the 7afe block and bolting on a 4age head creatinga 7age.... 1.8l twin cam... more torque and usable power.
anyway good luck with your build.
would be a good idea to post this in members so everyone else who has not yet see the light of zooks can drool at it! keeps everyone happy too!

yeah except it doesn't work..
you end up with something around 7.0/1 compression and no power..
good for turbo or supercharging but still to low!

when i set up my motor and box bolted together, i set the front crank bolt and rear gearbox output at the same height from the ground making it level north south.
i used a level to make the auto sump flange sit level east west.
when i did this it sat my engine on a slight lean.
i wanted to have the auto sitting correctly.
but in saying all of this, when driving trails when is the zook ever going to be level
well if i go ahead with the rest of the conversion i will have to upgrade to hilux diffs ect.. so i have come up with another idea which will still use hilux and suzuki parts but will allow me to run a much larger capacity motor. But i need to get rid of the 4agze and rwd box first or the mrs will kill me
ahhh begins and ends.....get a hilux if you want hilux diffs.....and then you can go 4.0litre v8....then upgrade to sixty diffs....then gq diffs.............mrRocky wrote:well if i go ahead with the rest of the conversion i will have to upgrade to hilux diffs ect.. so i have come up with another idea which will still use hilux and suzuki parts but will allow me to run a much larger capacity motor.
